Colchester, VT: DealerPolicy, an Insurtech company, and Vermont HITEC, a not-for-profit education center, are accepting applications for a no-cost accelerated training program leading to guaranteed full time jobs with DealerPolicy upon successful completion. Up to 15 selected participants will attend an 8-week program starting January 2, 2018 with employment beginning February 27, 2018. All participants completing the program will be offered full time positions as Digital Client Advisors, enrolled in a Registered Apprenticeship, and earn a starting wage of $15.00 per hour. Performance-based wage increases bring earnings to $16.00 per hour after 6 months, and $17.00 per hour plus commission after one year. This session is the second offered by DealerPolicy and Vermont HITEC this year, with continued growth anticipated in 2018.
No prior industry knowledge or experience is needed to apply, but candidates are required to have a High School diploma or GED. The program will select and enroll up to fifteen Vermonters as Digital Client Advisors. Digital Client Advisors are valued members of the team at DealerPolicy, communicating with customers through technology to evaluate insurance needs and advise on coverage options. Digital Client Advisors are required to pass the Producer’s Property and Casualty Insurance Exam, and be licensed with the state of Vermont as an Insurance Producer. Preparation and associated exam and licensing fees are included in the 8-week training.
Vermont HITEC has partnered with businesses to employ more than 1,400 individuals in the healthcare, information technology and advanced manufacturing fields. Vermont HITEC's technical and professional training closes the skills gap between motivated workers and the organizations that seek them. The program is funded in part by the US Department of Labor, the Vermont Department of Labor, and the Vermont Department of Economic Development.
