Would you like to make a difference every day? Do you like working with people and being a valued member of a team? If so, keep reading – the Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program at Dartmouth-Hitchcock may be the opportunity you’ve been looking for!

Dartmouth-Hitchcock (D-H) is seeking caring individuals who are passionate about patients and committed to acquiring the knowledge and skills required to be a Medical Assistant. Up to 20 individuals will be selected to participate in an intensive 11-week education program in Bedford, NH with graduates landing in Concord, Manchester and Nashua clinics. The educational program is provided at no cost to the applicant and will prepare participants to take the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant exam (CCMA).

All candidates who successfully complete the educational program will be hired by Dartmouth-Hitchcock and enrolled in a 2000-hour U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship.

Apprenticeship combines education with on-the-job training and apprentices are able to “earn while they learn.”  The starting wage for apprentices, at the successful conclusion of the 11-week training program, is $14.50/hour with incremental increases during and upon apprenticeship completion, based on performance, up to $16.50/hour. All apprentices are offered a comprehensive benefits package.

This program, offered through the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Workforce Readiness Institute, is offered as part of a collaborative partnership formed between D-H and Institute for American Apprenticeships at Vermont HITEC and is possible thanks to the generous and continued support of the US Department of Labor, NH Employment Security and NH Works.

DARTMOUTH-HITCHCOCK (D-H) is a nonprofit academic health system serving communities in northern New England.
